The SMG is an entire subsidiary company of the Miesbach district. The main task of the company is the development and implementation of a sustainable master plan which is fitted to the Miesbach area.

The work of the SMG has its main focus on several points: Creating platforms for corporations, strengthening small and big companies in their regional acting and assisting new companies to establish themselves in the area. Profile development, establishing location-specific advantages as well as merchandise the Miesbach district at regional, national and international level are elementary for the positioning as a high-power economic region close to Munich.

The SMG is not only compiling relevant factors about the business location for companies. It is a particularly neutral moderator between companies, public administration and political board.

The budget of the SMG is held by the Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee (Savings Bank Miesbach-Tegernsee) due to a sponsorship. The bank is pointing out its extensive commitment in regional business development.
